This policy describes how eSignIQ collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with our electronic signature services.
Quick links
Introduction
Bytenetix ("eSignIQ", "we", "our", or "us") values your privacy and takes data protection seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have when using our website and electronic signature platform at 127.0.0.1:34567.
By using eSignIQ, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm you have authority to accept this policy for that entity.
Definitions
"Personal Information" means information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to an individual, such as name, email, billing details, IP address, or document-related personal data.
"Non-Personal Information" means de-identified, aggregated, or otherwise non-identifiable information.
"Content" means files, documents, signatures, text, comments, and related materials you upload or create in eSignIQ.
What We Collect and Why
Account information: name, email, and password (or equivalent when you use Sign in with Google) to create and secure your account, provide support, and send service-related notices.
Service content: documents, signatures, recipient details, and related workflow data to provide core e-sign functionality.
Billing information: payment details needed for subscriptions and invoicing through approved payment processors.
Usage and device information: logs, browser/device details, session activity, and diagnostics to maintain security, improve reliability, and understand product usage trends.
Cookie and similar technologies: used mainly for authentication, preferences, and essential service functionality.
How We Use Personal Information
Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
Authenticate users, detect fraud, and secure our platform.
Process subscriptions, billing, and account administration.
Respond to support requests and operational communications.
Send product updates and marketing communications only where permitted by law (with opt-out options).
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
Subprocessors and Service Providers
We use the following categories of service providers to operate eSignIQ (in addition to the named integration providers below when you choose to connect them):
Hostinger: application hosting and infrastructure services.
Vercel: website and application deployment and delivery.
Paddle: payment processing and subscription billing when you purchase a paid plan.
Amplitude: product analytics to understand how the Service is used (and, if enabled in our configuration, Session Replay for troubleshooting and quality; we do not use this for cross-context advertising).
Crisp: optional customer chat widget when configured; may process account email or name if you are logged in and we sync them for support context.
Sentry: optional error monitoring and diagnostics when configured.
Third-Party Integrations (Google, Dropbox, Box, Google Drive)
This section describes optional features where you direct eSignIQ to interact with third-party services. Your use of those services is also governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. You can disconnect cloud storage integrations from your eSignIQ integration settings, which stops new imports via that connection (see retention below for data already imported).
Sign in with Google (Google LLC): If you choose “Sign in with Google” or “Continue with Google,” Google’s Sign in with Google / Google Identity Services presents a consent screen. We receive an ID token that we verify on our servers. The token is used to obtain your Google account email address, display name, email verification status, and a stable Google subject identifier (“sub”) to create or log you into your eSignIQ account. We do not use Sign in with Google data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Google Drive (Google LLC): If you connect Google Drive, you will be asked to authorize eSignIQ via Google OAuth. We use a restricted per-file Google Drive scope (often shown as “See and download all your Google Drive files you open with this app,” or drive.file): you choose files in the Google picker, and we can access only what you select (plus files our app created in Drive), not a broad browse of your entire Drive. We store encrypted OAuth tokens and basic connection metadata (such as the connected account label or email shown by Google) so the integration keeps working until you disconnect. Files you import become your Content in eSignIQ.
eSignIQ’s use of information received from Google APIs, and transfer of that information to any other app, will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Dropbox (Dropbox, Inc.): If you connect Dropbox, you will be asked to authorize eSignIQ via Dropbox OAuth. We use that authorization to list your Dropbox files and folders and to download files you choose to import into eSignIQ. We store encrypted OAuth tokens and basic account metadata (such as account identifier or email/name as returned by Dropbox) for the connection. Imported files become your Content in eSignIQ.
Box (Box, Inc.): If you connect Box, you will be asked to authorize eSignIQ via Box OAuth. We request the permissions Box requires for our integration to list folders, read file metadata, and download files you select to import into eSignIQ. We store encrypted OAuth tokens and basic account metadata for the connection. Imported files become your Content in eSignIQ.
Microsoft OneDrive: Depending on your workspace configuration and plan, we may also offer Microsoft OneDrive as a cloud import integration under the same general approach: OAuth authorization you control, encrypted tokens, listing and downloading only content you select to import, with imported files treated as your Content.
We filter cloud import pickers to supported document and image types where our product does so today (for example PDF and common Office or image formats); other file types may not appear or be selectable.
